As the newest member of Immaculate Homes what is your new role?

As the Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor your role will encompass two key components. 

Firstly, as the Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for the takeoff of the BOQ and preparing the detailed sales estimate including the written specification/documentation for the project tender submission.

The second component of the role will be to plan and schedule the project, keeping close cost management of suppliers, workforce and client throughout the project. Your role will include building and maintain relationships with suppliers, trades and key stakeholders. This close management will allow you to update your pricelist to ensure accuracy for future tenders estimates.

What do people know you for?

You have a sound knowledge of the Luxury Residential construction industry including a great understanding of different construction processes and methods. You are able to manage projects (by getting your ‘hands dirty’), independent in your thinking, as well being a team player who can work closely with other key stakeholders to create an effective working relationship. 

Your ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and remain flexible, calm and approachable should be second nature to you. You possess a keen eye for detail and take pleasure in going beyond your role to ensure the overall effectiveness of the company operations. You are experienced in reading, understanding and interpreting and composing contractual specification and documents.

As the successful candidate you have acquired the following skills and qualifications:

• 10+ years in a similar role. 
• Trade qualified or university degree.
• Have worked with Databuild, Cheops or similar estimating software.
• You are extremely self-motivated with strong organisational skills. You excel in working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Your strong communication skills are personable and friendly in manner, with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and other stakeholders, both internal and external.
• You have a proactive approach, loving to ask questions to gain an in-depth understanding of issues and actively participate in brainstorming resolutions.
• You love to work in a small team environment, solve problems and push forward.
• You are happy to go beyond your role when needed to ensure the business is operating smoothly.
• You are easily able to travel to our Pymble office.
