Let us tell you a little bit about the role!
A typical day may start with an enquiry from an architect or engineer. Your role would be to assist them to incorporate our products into their projects taking into consideration technical and budgetary constraints. As projects transition from design to tender stage you would be responsible for preparing and submitting quotations and once the project is secured you will work alongside the project team in a handover role.

Applicant A will be someone who has some industry experience and is comfortable dealing with clients and providing sales support of a technical nature. You will need to be curious to learn beyond just reading a brochure and you must be passionate about presenting the best solution for each project you work on. Just as importantly, you must be willing to work as part of a team and be open to developing new skills and procedures and not be overly burdened by previous experience.
Applicant B may not have the experience of Applicant A, but they make up for it with enthusiasm to learn. You could be straight out of school and looking for a career path or you could have recently completed your tertiary education and in need of on-the-job training. What matters is your desire to develop your career as a valued member of a great team.
A few key characteristics that you will need to make this role a success:
- A high level of written and oral communication skills – you will be communicating with architects and engineers and submitting formal written quotations on behalf of the company.
- Computer literacy is essential as you will be using CRM, Email, Project Tracking and Estimating/Design platforms on a daily basis.
- Integrity – this one is not negotiable.
- Ability to read construction documentation OR the willingness to learn.
