Estimator/Cost Analyst

Our client is a SA Government Agency who seeks an Estimator/ Cost Analyst with experience analysing actual costs compared to estimating, and providing analysis results to the team.The Ideal Candidate:Looking for someone who is keen to take ownership and notify team of current trends when doing the analysis. You will have strong communication skills and work well as a team member. You will be a go-getter and thrive on the analytics side of the role.Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assist in the collaborative approach to continuous improvement in estimation, analysis and bench marking to support the delivery of Asset Operations and Delivery business objectives.
• Preparation of cost estimates for capital work programs and projects, including change requests to existing programs.
• Assist preparation of Opportunity and Risk cost impact analysis for inclusion in the estimate.
• Evaluation of contractor tender costs and provide structure for contractors to supply cost data for internal modelling and benchmarking.
• Maintain and analyse actual project cost data and maintain the estimating database and models to ensure information is current.
• Prepare documentation and reports, including maintaining and analysing cost data for use in the estimating database.
• Support the analysis of project costs at completion

The Successful Candidate will have the following experience:

• A Technicians certificate or Engineering qualification or equivalent/Associate Diploma in Engineering or equivalent - Essential
• Demonstrated experience in estimating and analysis of actual costs - Essential
• Ability to interpret general engineering drawings - Essential
• An understanding of cost management and the use of financial management systems to extract cost information - Desirable
• Experience in the practise of Opportunity and Risk based estimating - Desirable
• Experience in the use of estimating computer system software in particular spreadsheets and databases. - Desirable

Job Details:

• Location: Adelaide CBD. WFH options - minimum 3 days in office
• 12 month contract
• Hourly Rate: $55.00-$57.95 per hour
