We are currently seeking an Estimator/Project Manager to join our Bunbury Operations team, where you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our company.
This position is ideal for a person with a hands-on approach, dedicated to achieving outcomes that exceed our clients' expectations, and continue to push the boundaries in the precision manufacturing industry.
What would you get to do as our Estimator Project Manager?- In collaboration with the Product Development team, you will assess work scopes and review engineering drawings to determine project management requirements.
- Create Purchase Requisitions, Controlled Drawings and Alternate Routings for work required to go to sub-contractors.
- Planning and scheduling work internally or through vendors and subcontractors.
- Through engaging with production staff, together we get to manage project part deliveries to exceed our client expectations.
- Create alternative routings for all catalogued contracted parts. Ensure alternative manufacturing paths and production ready.
- Assisting the Marketing Team with new product information enables our brand to grow within the market as our reach expands.
- Reviewing completed work as a team, we can analyse and modify processes for identified efficiency improvements to deliver better than ever before.
- An engineering trade qualification such as 1st class Machinist, Mechanical Fitter/Machinist or Toolmaker is essential.
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing operations and machine capabilities, engineering materials, welding, fabrication, and metallurgy.
- Experience at a shop floor level for a minimum of five years, in a manufacturing/machine shop environment. Experience in the maintenance of heavy mobile equipment is highly desirable.
- Sound computer skills especially Excel Spreadsheets, SAP knowledge is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CAD experience is highly desirable.
