AddressETL Developer – NSW Government
ETL Developers are required by an NSW Government department based in Sydney + WFH (hybrid) on an initial 12-month contract with likely ongoing extensions.
- Location: Sydney + WFH (hybrid)
- Pay Rate: $752 - $873 - $1,000 per day + Super
- Hours: 7.6 hours per day, 38 hours per week
- Contract Length: 12 months with likely ongoing extensions
The role is responsible for handling architecture tasks including data models, reverse engineering & performance optimization by designing, developing, unit testing & maintaining ETL jobs to create or enhance data warehouses/marts.
Key Accountabilities:
- Design ETL via source-to-target mapping & design documents that consider security, performance tuning & other best practices
- Deploy & test code from lower environments to production
- Document technical specifications, data models, process flows etc.
- Test ETL & other technical components & support QA activities
- Collaborate with delivery & technical teams on design & development activities within Agile/Scrum teams
- Minimum 6+ years of demonstrated experience with industry standard ETL tools, including 3+ years with Matillion where possible
- Intermediate to advanced SQL experience & additional experience with data warehouses/marts supporting business requirements, BI report development & report analysis
- Scrum and/or Kanban experience
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS (Lamba & Glue), Python
- Data modelling experience with ERWin or SPARX
- Experience supporting SAS data management & reporting tools
