AddressWe are seeking a highly motivated and responsive EUC / Desktop Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service and possess robust technical troubleshooting skills to support our end-user computing environment. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth and efficient operation of desktop, laptop, and mobile device systems, as well as meeting room and AV equipment. You will need to be an Australian Citizen and ideally hold an AGSVA security clearance Baseline or higher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer support to all users, ensuring prompt and professional resolution of their technical issues.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Perform basic to advanced troubleshooting of software and hardware problems, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- Software/Hardware Installation: Install and configure software and hardware components, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Operating System Expertise: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of relevant operating systems (e.g., Windows 10), ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Network Knowledge: Understand and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring connectivity and performance standards are met.
- Security and Distribution Mechanisms: Implement and maintain security measures and software distribution processes.
- Problem Solving and Fault Diagnosis: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently.
- Meeting Room and AV Equipment: Set up and maintain meeting rooms and AV equipment, ensuring they are always operational.
- Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively conveying technical information to non-technical users.
- PC Building and Deployment: Build, deploy, and manage PCs, ensuring they meet company standards and user needs.
- Incident Troubleshooting and Resolution: Quickly address and resolve incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.
- Self-Motivation: Demonstrate a proactive approach to work, managing tasks independently and efficiently.
- Baseline Clearance: Must have or be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
- Apple Mobile Devices: Provide support for Apple mobile devices, ensuring seamless integration with corporate systems.
- Proven experience as a Desktop Engineer or similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Proficiency in Windows 10 operating system and PC deployment.
- Experience with network troubleshooting and security measures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Baseline Security Cleared or higher.
- Experience with Apple mobile devices is a plus.
