Communications Officer to join our team. Working as part of the Global Conferences, Events, Awards and Sponsorships team, the position is responsible for supporting the effective running of Fortescue's internal and external events. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination of corporate
Events and providing essential administrative support across various functions within Fortescue.
Key Responsibilities- Coordination of corporate events including guest liaison, branding and other event management tasks.
- Coordinating team administration support including liaison with external event organisers, invitations to external speaking Events and development of external speaking materials.
- Supporting the planning, administration and delivery of internal presentations and speaking opportunities across Fortescue.
- Liaising with internal functions around upcoming awards and opportunities to promote Fortescue's success.
- Supporting various accounts payable functions, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders and supplier invoices, and team budgets for partnership and sponsorships.
Qualifications and Experience- Experience working in a fast-paced administration office and/or events role
- Experience in communications role is preferable but not essential
- Work effectively under pressure to meet challenging timelines with competing priorities and stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is favourable
- Strong focus on attention to detail, quality and accuracy
- Ability to build influential relationships and drive collaboration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential
- Experience using Sharepoint and/or Monday.com is desirable
- Experience using SAP and Ariba is preferred
- Quick adopter of technology and digital solutions preferred
