Your Role
Are you passionate about fostering community engagement and bringing people together through unforgettable experiences? As the Events & Communications Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in realising the strategic vision of Burswood Park Board. Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, you'll spearhead the coordination and execution of an exciting array of events while also crafting compelling communications strategies to elevate the park's profile.
Key Responsibilities
- Curate an Exciting Events Calendar: Lead the coordination and oversight of an annual calendar brimming with dynamic and diverse events, ensuring each experience aligns with our vibrant vision.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison for event organisers, facilitating seamless coordination and ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
- Develop Compelling Narratives: Utilise your creativity to prepare clear and captivating written materials tailored for various communication channels, amplifying our message, and engaging our audience effectively.
- Create Lasting Connections: Cultivate meaningful relationships with stakeholders, nurturing positivity and garnering unwavering support for our initiatives, ensuring our community thrives.
- Stay Ahead on Social: Keep your finger on the pulse of social media, monitoring engagement and feedback with agility, and responding promptly and thoughtfully to ensure our online presence shines.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in event coordination and communications.
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- While not mandatory, a Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as communications, marketing, event management, or related field is desirable.
