Events & Membership Manager (Maternity Leave Cover)

There's a new member of our extended work family on its way and while mum's on Maternity Leave we're looking for a suitably qualified Events and Membership Manager to join our team. It's a part-time role (3 days/week) with a 15-month contract to allow for 12-months Maternity Leave and a good handover in and out.
About CCFTas
CCF Tasmania is the industry peak body and business association for the civil construction industry in Tasmania. We represent, promote, protect, connect, and service the civil construction industry, locally and nationally.
CCF Tasmania hosts three main events each calendar year:
- CCFTas Earth Awards (600-650 Pax)
- CCFTas Women in Infrastructure Gala Dinner (200-300 Pax)
- CCFTas Presidents Lunch (150-200 Pax)
We also host a number of member and stakeholder networking events across the state.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, our Events & Membership Manager will plan and deliver all aspects of CCF Tasmania’s events and be accountable for managing and growing our membership.
The role provides high-level advice and guidance on CCF Tasmania’s event program and membership matters to ensure that CCF Tasmania delivers exceptional and memorable events and, as the key point of contact for members, delivers a first-class member experience.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role is a people-person who demonstrates exceptional organisational abilities with a strong attention to detail, superb interpersonal and customer service skills. With a positive attitude, they will be someone who does what they say they will, they’re confident, motivated and able to manage tight deadlines while providing excellent service.
To hit the ground running, you will bring:
- A good sense of humour coupled with a great work ethic
- Demonstrated experience in a similar event management and/or member management role
- Excellent communication skills (listening, written and verbal)
- Outstanding customer service & stakeholder management skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external
- A high level of initiative and creative flair
- An acute attention to detail
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask
- Proven experience managing budgets
- Strong analytical with experience maintaining accurate data
- Advanced skills in the MS Office suite and MS Teams
- Experience working independently and as a member of a team.
Plus, the desirable experience below would be an advantage:
- Marketing, public relations and communications experience and/or qualifications.
- Project Management Qualifications
- Previous exposure to the Civil Construction, Building, or Engineering industry
