Base Salary $95,860 - $103,341 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Faculty of Medicine and Health (FMH) is seeking an Events Officer to join its Internal Communications and Engagement team. Alongside a supportive team, the position is responsible for the planning, administration, and delivery of a range of events, prize giving and functions in the faculty, both in-person and online.
The position applies events management experience and skills to design and deliver events to a high professional standard for a variety of audiences. Under the general guidance of the Engagement Manager, the Events Officer is expected to exercise significant initiative and judgement in planning work activity for multiple projects, resolving problems, applying knowledge and experience of event management good practice.

About you
has project and time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
has experience working with events, conferences and/or educational programs within health, government, tertiary or private sector
has proven experience in managing service providers
demonstrated ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced and complex environment
highly developed administrative and MS Office skills
has experience with audio visual equipment
has excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience of handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service
has experience using Event Bright and Emma HQ (desirable).
Your key responsibilities will be to:
support the management and delivery of a program of events for the faculty
manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
prepare briefing notes for speakers
prepare content and structure of events and functions to ensure programs meet faculty needs
produce and disseminate event invitations, registration pages, slides and other promotional material adhering to university brand guidelines
devise creative ways to engage the audience
review audience and stakeholder feedback and prepare event debrief reports for continuous improvement
build rapport and develop good working relationships to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders
undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities
