The role

Working in our Economic and Destination Development department, we are seeking someone to join the team in a leadership capacity. Responsible for attracting a range of programs and projects to grow and develop the MidCoast Region. This role requires someone who is proactive, outcome and success driven, has the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. As well as someone who is technology savvy with a strategic mindset to build and deliver Councils strategic events portfolio to drive economic growth.

What you'll bring

  • Knowledge and experience working in Local Government
  • Qualifications or relevant experience in Event Attraction and Development , business, tourism or an equivalent field
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and meet competing demands

Salary: Commencing salary circa $80,600 p.a. plus superannuation.

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
