This role contributes to the success of the City by managing the City of Hobart Event Partnership and Grants program. It ensures extensive community engagement and enhances the City's reputation, achieving broad audience involvement and effective stakeholder coordination. This role is instrumental in fostering vibrant community events that align with the City's strategic goals and deliver significant brand value.
Role accountabilities include:
- Facilitate the organisation and execution of various event grants and partnership contracts, aligning with the City of Hobart's Strategic Plan goals.
- Proactively pursue new collaborative relationships and pinpoint prospects to enhance the City's ongoing advancement towards its Strategic aims.
- Manage coordination of communications, marketing, and media strategies for event grants and partnership initiatives, in collaboration with the City's communications and marketing division.

The desired applicant will have;
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Events Management or other relevant discipline or demonstrated and substantial relevant experience.
- Current Driver Licence.
- Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
- Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) (Desirable)
- Chief Fire Warden training. (Desirable)
