We are seeking Exam Supervisors to join our College on a casual basis at our Beaconsfield campus.
Key responsibilities include:
- Familiarise themselves with the procedures for conducting and administering VCE external assessments.
- Familiarise themselves with the specific emergency procedures (evacuations and lockdowns) during VCE external assessments.
- Ensure they have a clear understanding of the provisions for any student with approved Special Examination Arrangements
- Within the school's established guidelines, maintain proper order and discipline among students, ensuring that no students:
- engage in cheating.
- share items such as dictionaries, calculators, watches, water bottles or any stationery items.
- Ensure no student infringes on the rights of any other student to complete their VCE external assessment.
- Move around the room and do not remain in the same position for any length of time.
- Do not engage in behaviour that distracts students, such as using electronic devices for personal reasons or consuming food or drink (apart from water).
- Avoid unnecessary discussions or arguments with students.
- Be vigilant in supervising students, but do not pay undue or overt attention to any individual student, consequently causing them discomfort.
- Make arrangements for procedures to be followed when a student becomes ill or needs to use toilet facilities.
- Any other duties as directed by the Chief Supervisor.
- Previous experience gained within a teaching service environment would be beneficial or previous supervisory experience.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Not Related to or associated with any person engaged in teaching, tutoring, or coaching students undertaking VCE Unit 3 or 4 study at the College.
- Not associated with organising, checking, or distributing VCE exam papers at another school.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate and read instructions aloud.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
- Ability to deal effectively and promptly with any problems.
- GAT – Tuesday 18th June
- Year 12 VCE External exams – Tuesday 29th October to Wednesday 20th November.

The pay rate for assistant supervisors in 2024 is $37.50 per hour, which is in line with 2024 VCAA requirements.
However, please note as part of the child safety requirement, we will require two referees we can contact to conduct a reference check.
The successful applicant will also be required to undergo a Working with Children Check and National Police Check prior to commencement.
