The Capital Hotel Group comprises of the Avenue Hotel, Deco Hotel and Pavilion on Northbourne. The group boasts over 570 rooms across the 3 hotels all centrally located in Canberra. In this role as the Executive Chef you will be required to oversee the operation of all kitchen’s and function rooms. This position has the responsibility for taking charge of supervising and administering all phases of the kitchen operation and facilitating the achievement of the objectives of the overall Food & Beverage department.
To be successful you will require:
- Previous experience in a similar Executive Chef position
- Be able to manage food and labour costs
- Drive Revenue
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workplace
- Be experienced in writing and costing menus
- Deliver high quality food presentation
- Motivated with strong leadership skills
- Effective leader, mentor, coach, with a passion to train and develop your team
- Highly developed interpersonal / communication skills
