We are seeking an established, creative and self-motivated chef to join our hotel as Executive Chef to lead the kitchen team and build the reputation of the cuisine, and well as the culture of the Hotel. You will get to work closely with highly motivated management tea
As the Executive Chef you will be overseeing the kitchen operations across all Hotel outlets including our newly refurbished and elegantly presented dapl restaurant featuring modern Australian cuisine, bar bites, breakfast, in room dining, café and busy function and event spaces.

To be successful you will need:
Previous experience in a Head Chef capacity that encompasses a multi outlet diverse venue including conferencing events, a la cate dining, driving innovation and reactivity in menu development
Demonstrated strong leadership of a kitchen team and entrepreneurial experience in kitchen management
Your duties will include:
- Menu development: design and create seasonal menus with a commitment to quality and innovation with focus on modern Australian cuisine utilising high quality sustainable ingredients that align with current industry trends
- Kitchen management: oversee the daily kitchen operations ensuring efficient and effective workflow. Maintain rigorous standards for cleanliness, safety and sanitation
- Team Leadership: lead, mentor and train kitchen staff fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Quality Control: ensure all food is prepared to the highest standard for taste, presentation, and consistency. Monitor safe food handling hygiene
- Inventory and cost control: manage scheduling and labour costs, inventory levels, monitor food cost, and implement measures to reduce wastage and improve efficiency
- Innovation: remain up to date with latest culinary trends, techniques, ingredients, and cooking methods
- Compliance: ensure compliance with all H&S regulations, food handling and sanitation standards.
- Group Initiatives: by working closely with the Group Executive Chef and participate in and drive Hotel group Food and Beverage initiatives
