Our cuisine will always be an experience to look forward to. We are seeking a distinguished and remarkable Executive Chef to lead our culinary experience and establish The Langham, Gold Coast as a Gold Coast dining institution.
Key Responsibilities
Our Executive Chef will oversee the food production and quality for all primary food service outlets in the Hotel ensuring that The Property is positioned as the leading destination on the Gold Coast.
The Executive Chef together with other Senior Chefs (Exec Pastry & Exec Sous) will develop distinctive Menus that resonate with each unique Outlet and craft food experiences for guests to remember. Our menus will optimise the use of quality seasonal produce, create dining trends and enhance food cost performance based on menu engineering analysis.
The Executive Chef will oversee the Kitchen Leadership Team and coordinate the output and quality standards of the Kitchen Teams – delegating duties and responsibilities to ensure service standards are met. The Executive Chef has the ultimate responsibility for the Food Safety Management System (HACCP) and ensures that work methods are safe and that best practice requirements are maintained.
As a people- orientated Executive Chef you will inspire your team of Kitchen professionals, leading by example, coaching and mentoring junior chefs and food and beverage personnel and establishing a culture of service and product excellence across the Team.
Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in the role you will have extensive experience as Executive Chef at a luxury hotel and/or Michelin Star environment and proven experience leading teams to meet a level of high performance across food quality and innovation, service and financial and operational commitments.
