How You'll Shine
As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for day-to-day operation of the food & beverage department, preparing, producing, and presenting all foods to the highest standards to align with our mission of being the number one culinary destination on Denarau Island, as well as interacting and providing a high level of customer service to all our owners.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare, produce, and present all foods in accordance with identified Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards, commonly accepted in the catering industry.
- Display eagerness to increase food knowledge and upskilling local talents.
- Strive to minimise food wastage and meet COG targets.
- Provide an exceptional Guest experience.
- Put forth your input on menus, rosters and any other challenges that involves the team.
- Perform any other duties as required by the Management.
What You'll Bring
The successful candidate will be an energised and enthusiastic leader that will be naturally drawn to embrace our team / local culture, and values with the following:
- Relevant trade qualifications
- Experience as Executive Chef (preferably 3+ years) in a hotel environment
- A desire to deliver an exceptional Guest experience
- An adaptive mindset and vision to deliver a quality product
- Experience working in the South Pacific and knowledge of international cuisines will be an advantage.
- The ability to work a flexible roster, inclusive of nights, weekends and public holidays
