At Norwest Anglican, we long to see Jesus as King of every heart and every home.
Norwest Anglican is a vibrant and growing evangelical church in Sydney’s North-West. In God’s kindness, over the last decade we have seen remarkable growth. More than 750 adults, youth and children attend our Sunday ministries each week – including five services (8:30am, 10.30am, 1pm Mandarin Church, 4:30pm and 6.30pm ‘Chapel Lane’), one of which is livestreamed. Alongside Sundays, we run many mid-week activities.
Strategic challenges and projects that we are currently undertaking include further establishing a ‘teams model’ of serving at Norwest, a significant building project (refurbishing our main auditorium building in 2024) and investigating our first off-site congregation plant in the next 12 months.
As Norwest Anglican continues to grow, we need to both streamline and develop many of our operational and ministry-support areas. The Executive Director (ED) will be part of the strategic team that will assist the Senior Minister to transition Norwest Anglican from a single-site church of 1000 people to a multi-site church of 1500 over the next 5 years. The ED will play a critical role and will suit someone who can lead and oversee the day-to-day business functions of the organisation and has experience in strategic thinking, team leadership and governance matters.
Initially, the ED will help refine and develop the existing ministry systems and operational functions of Norwest Anglican. Moving forward, as a member of the Executive Team, the ED will champion a strong focus on strategic projects and future growth.
Due to the importance of this position, the ED will have the opportunity to shape the role to meet both the needs of the organisation as well as maximise their own natural giftedness and expertise.
This is a full-time position, although 4 days a week would be considered for the right candidate.
