Reporting to the Deputy Secretary SafeWork NSW, you will focus on leading large scale and dispersed operations to effectively regulate work, health and safety advisory, education, compliance and enforcement activities across NSW.
This role has accountability for driving the achievement of operational outcomes across a diverse range of regulatory responsibilities within a dynamic and often sensitive environment. Liaising across Government, industry and with employer and employee representative bodies, you will develop and maintain strategic relationships with multiple partners and stakeholders with diverse needs and interests to deliver regulatory outcomes.
More than just leading regulatory operations and enforcement, in this role you will lead and influence transformational change at SafeWork NSW to ensure transparent and accountable regulatory outcomes. You will bring your expertise in planning and executing robust and responsive regulatory and enforcement approaches to deliver positive work health and safety outcomes across NSW.
You will be a highly experienced executive leader who creates positive and inclusive workplace cultures to build trust and respect with a diverse and geographically dispersed team. In this role, you will show exemplary leadership of workplace culture. As a driver of positive change and innovation, you will achieve improved outcomes reviewing and modernising regulatory approaches. You will also drive continuous improvement and bring an agile response to industry changes to ensure consistent delivery of regulatory services.

SafeWork NSW is the workplace health and safety regulator for all NSW workplaces except for mining and petroleum sites. We are responsible for the administration of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, Explosives Act 2003, and some of the Dangerous Goods (Road and Rail Transport) Act 2008.
