AddressPosition: Non-Executive Director - The Community Transport Company
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join the board of The Community Transport Company as Non-Executive Directors. The Community Transport Company is a for-purpose business dedicated to providing accessible and affordable transportation solutions for the whole community. Our vision is access, inclusion, equality and independence for the whole community. Through our innovative social enterprise model, we strive to create sustainable and inclusive transportation services that enhance quality of life and foster community connections. Since our inception, we have been committed to operating with transparency, integrity, and a deep sense of social responsibility. As we continue to expand our reach and impact, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our board of directors and help guide our strategic direction and governance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organization as part of a highly-functioning Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and strategies.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure financial sustainability.
- Represent the organisation and act as ambassadors in the community.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in corporate governance, preferably in a board or committee capacity.
- Familiarity with social enterprise models and a commitment to the organisation's vision and mission.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Understanding of the transport industry or related sectors (preferred but not required).
Board meetings are held on the fourth Friday every second month.
