Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive General Manager (EGM) to join/lead the senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the EGM will be pivotal in steering the company through its next phase of growth and transformation. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in running large businesses, preferably within the transport or logistics sector, and will be adept at converting entrepreneurial initiatives into systemized operations without losing the core culture that defines KTrans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, objectives and providing safe, compliant high quality outcomes
- Lead and mentor an energetic management team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Implement robust management and leadership systems, focusing on consistent metrics and discipline.
- Drive corporate quality and efficiency, ensuring the highest standards are maintained across all departments.
- Support the Managing Director in strategic planning, freeing him up from daily operational tasks.
- Manage and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring compliance with governance and contractual obligations.
- Champion transformational growth initiatives, leading the company through step-changes and milestone projects.
To be considered for this true executive leadership position, you will ideally possess the following attributes:
- Proven experience in leading an enterprise of similar or larger size to KTrans, with at least 10 years' experience in a leadership role.
- Track record within the transport/logistics sector or a closely related heavy industrial service industry.
- Proven understanding of how a private, agile and entrepreneurial business thrives.
- Excellent people and culture leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performance teams.
- Awareness of transformational growth, with experience in fast-growth environments.
- Most of all, a superb, affable attitude and approach to humanity; combining an unrelenting commitment to “best in class” but with a constructive nurturing style.
Other areas of expertise, whilst not essential, that will interest us include experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a solid understanding of post-transaction integration challenges, knowledge of sustainability and green corporate responsibility, and a credible network within industries that KTrans serve.
