The Activity-Based Costing Manager is responsible for providing senior executives with streamlined and tailored strategic business advice across all aspects of financial and performance management, to assist in supporting their respective business group.
This role is situated in a dynamic environment providing a variety of services to management and senior executives.
The role includes:
• Responsibility for all aspects relating to IP Australia’s activity-based costing system. This includes maintaining cost drivers for all business groups, including organisational and business process/structural changes and ongoing business as usual activity
• Providing expert financial advice to the Director for Revenue and Cost Analysis and when required, the Chief Financial Officer and senior executives on financial reporting, costings and cost methodology, cost recovery against activities, and financial planning
• Supporting the section by working collaboratively with team members and identifying opportunities for improved work practices and reporting capabilities, as well as solutions for their implementation
• Demonstrating attitudes and behaviours responsive to workplace change (includes participating in, and encourages others to participate in, change and contribute to successful outcomes)
• Improving organisational performance through effective engagement with and management of risk within the relevant sphere of influence
• Contribute and conduct analysis across financial and performance metrics to drive improved performance, accountability and to identify workforce and business challenges as they arise across business groups
• Maintain professional working relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across business groups and with colleagues in FPSG that promote the collaborative exchange of financial and business information
• Participate in organisational initiatives and projects as required.
