Reporting to the Executive Level 2 – Senior Psychologist, you will be outcome-focused and have a collaborative and engaging style. You will be accustomed to operating in fast-paced environments, managing competing priorities and responding flexibly to change. You will exercise a considerable degree of independence and demonstrate strategic thinking, demonstrated by contributing to team planning and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
As an Executive Level 1 – Staff Psychologist, you will be an effective clinician and be competent in administering psychometric tests, conducting suitability assessments, and providing feedback on risk-related matters. You will be highly competent in the provision of short-term clinical interventions, including counselling, crisis support (including after hours), training and other capability development activities (to both Australian staff and locally engaged staff).
You will have experience in the identification and management of psychosocial hazards in the workplace and be able to make recommendations that balance individual needs, with those of the of the organisation. You will display both initiative and judgement when interpreting policy and procedures and exhibit a high level of cultural sensitivity.
You will also be able to communicate effectively (oral and written) and demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills. You will build and maintain productive working relationships within teams, across the organisation and with other agencies.
