About the Role
The Executive Officer provides high level executive support to the Dean and Faculty General Manager (FGM) in the Faculty of Health. The Executive Officer undertakes a wide range of high-level responsibilities to support the achievement of the Health strategy, by developing and leading the implementation of plans and special projects across Health.
The Executive Officer is expected to advise the Dean and FGM about critical and emerging issues, new initiatives and policy/regulatory matters, make recommendations and lead the implementation of plans to address such issues. The appointee will undertake research and assessment of a wide variety of issues, draft protocols and procedures, coordinate a range of projects and liaison activities and act on the FGMs behalf on designated matters
As the ideal candidate, you will possess:
• High level analytical, problem-solving and writing skills (with the ability to draft policy papers and reports)
• Personal attributes including a high level of initiative and energy, collegiality, flexibility, personal integrity and accountability.
• High level data analytics skills and the ability to manipulate data and present it in meaningful as to inform executive decision making.
• Strong information technology skills including demonstrated high-level experience using Microsoft Office suite. Automation skills will be highly desirable.
• Demonstrated policy analysis and development skills
• Demonstrated experience working for senior executives, preferably in a University and faculty setting
Remuneration
Base Salary: $132,164 to $138,457 pa (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and the appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
