  • Respond to planning applications that have the potential to impact on the Barwon catchment.
  • Respond to general submissions and inquiries, as required.
  • Promote FOTB including managing the website content, building relationships with other local groups, Landcare Networks and agencies.

General organisational support:

  • Prepare and review mail outs to members and supporters (primarily through Mail Chimp).
  • Assist in managing memberships by tracking membership renewals, checking payments, issuing receipts and invoices.
  • Assist with financial records and bookkeeping, as required.
  • Improve efficiencies in the way that FOTB conducts its business.
Selection criteria:
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role in an organisation focused on the environment, or as an Executive Officer for a not-for-profit organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a Committee of Management.
  • High level written, oral communication and computer skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited direction while managing varied and conflicting demands.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop effective relationships with stakeholders, community groups and volunteers.
  • An understanding of the communities and landscapes of the Barwon catchment.
  • Hold a current driver’s license and able to travel regionally as required.
