Rural Connection Allied Health is looking to add an AEP to our team based out of Toowoomba, Queensland. Rural Connection Allied Health aims at bridging the gap in healthcare services between major cities and rural communities. Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists strive to provide a positive experience centering around the individual needs of our clients.
We are a well-established exercise physiology company that services the local district and surrounds through a combination of home-, gym-based and hydrotherapy services. We provide treatment to clients with a variety of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic and neuromuscular conditions.
We are looking for a motivated and genuine individual who is able to work independently and in a team environment, has excellent communication skills and is passionate about helping some of the more isolated members of our community achieve their goals. We are after an independent thinker, someone who is self-motivated and shows initiative as the role is self-managed and administration duties will be work from home.
Required education and documents: (We can assist you with any of these)
- Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology or equivalent
- Accredited Exercise Physiologist registration with ESSA
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Current CPR & First Aid
- Police Check
- Current Working with Children/Blue Card
- Driver’s licence and a reliable car
- Right to work in Australia

- Recognition and further training in a specialty area
- NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
- NDIS Orientation Module Certificate of Completion
We are looking for an immediate start, or as close as possible to, for the right clinician. Remuneration is negotiable based on experience and guaranteed to be above the award. New graduates are welcome to apply.
About the role:
This is a full-time position with annual salary and bonus structure. We are firm believers in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and we will strive to accommodate your commitments outside of work.
You will be taking over a caseload with an immediate start (following 2-3 week orientation and introduction to your client list) You will be treating clients between their places of residence and a gym facility from all funding systems including Aged Care, Medicare, Private, NDIS, DVA and WorkCover. The role is suitable to AEPs that have a minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience however new grads are welcome to apply. The workload will include working with the team to continue to grow the business through networking and marketing.
As part of your employment package, we will also contribute $1000 towards a professional development course and a fuel allowance.
In a normal week you will have:
- Weekly team meeting and in house professional development
- Weekly 1-1 mentoring (tailored to your personal goals)
- Admin time to maintain your case notes and reports
- Ability to manage your own schedule.
