About the role
Regis is now seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to provide and deliver skilled, individualised care of the highest quality and standards to optimise client levels of physical independence and maintain quality of life and wellbeing.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of our Regis Tiwi, Day Therapy Centre in Darwin, and working with an Allied Health Assistant, you will be responsible for the provision of quality professional exercise physiology services to older people living in the community, planning care around the individual needs and abilities with a focus on fitness, strength, balance and wellness.
Role Responsibilities
Facilitate and or deliver professional exercise physiology services in individual and group setting including:
- Undertake comprehensive, holistic assessments including wellness and re-enablement reviews for each client.
- Plan, implement and review appropriate preventative and therapeutic care programs in consultation with clients, to meet their wellness and re-enablement needs
- document therapeutic care plans and schedule clinical reviews when required
- Regularly review and update care plans to reflect changes in clients health and circumstances and needs
- Bulid highly supportive and positive relationships with the client, their family, medical advisors and external agencies
About you
As a collaborative and valued member of our Allied Health team, you’ll have:
- Degree Qualified in Allied Health discipline and registration with the appropriate board (Exercise Physiology)
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety
- Demonstrated understanding of the relevant Laws, Acts, Regulations, Charters and Codes of Practice
- Strong verbal and written skills
- A current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Experience within a Health and/or Aged Care sector and setting (highly regarded)
