ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for multiple Exercise Physiologists to support the growth of Enable Fitness Centre, following increased demand across our three sites.
Under the supervision of both the Clinical Lead and senior clinicians, the employees will be responsible for the delivery of exercise physiology services at Enable Fitness Centre. Working as part of a large multidisciplinary team of Allied Health professionals, the employee will also have the opportunity to contribute to service delivery planning, review, improvement and growth of services at Enable Fitness Centre.
Our clinicians provide treatments to clients with a range of conditions, including neurological conditions (spinal cord injury, brain injury, Parkinson’s Disease, MND, MS, Cerebral Palsy, stroke), amputee, intellectual disability, multi-trauma/orthopedic, and others.
We are offering multiple permanent positions to fill demand across our 3 sites, with full time or part time hours available, depending on the availability of the applicants. Rostering of days/hours will be determined in conjunction with the successful applicants. The positions can be based at any of our sites - Holden Hill, Marleston and Elizabeth - with the potential of working across multiple sites.
Key roles and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Independently provide clinical evidence-based exercise physiology through
- Prescribing clinical evidence-based exercise interventions in individual, small group, and semi-supervised group sessions
- Gym-based or home exercise physiology consultations
- Initial and review consultations
- Hydrotherapy sessions delivered in our South Australian-exclusive underwater treadmill hydrotherapy tank
- Clinical report writing and maintaining clinical documentation
The position requires the employee to:
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary Enable team and external stakeholders where necessary to ensure best practice, high level client care and continuity of care
- Contribute to service delivery planning and identify opportunities for quality improvement activities
- Administration including assisting with the management of personal booking sheets, in collaboration with management and administration staff
- Develop and maintain professional expertise working with people with a disability
ABOUT YOU
You are an AHP Level 1, 2 or 3 and must
- Demonstrate a competent to advanced level of professional knowledge and skill in providing clinical interventions
- Have experience in working with people with disability (this can include through placements)
- Experience working in a clinical EP setting is desirable but not essential; new graduates will be considered
You must hold the following qualifications and screenings:
- Accredited Exercise Physiologist registration through Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) including compliance with the professional development requirements and completion of approved program of study
- Completion of the NDIS worker orientation module certificate (can be completed following employment)
- In accordance with the SA Department of Human Services legislation:
- working with children check
- disability services employment check/NDIS worker check
