About the role
This senior position is part of Sydney Local Health District Palliative Care Physiotherapy Service. Exercise Physiology interventions are provided to outpatients and community dwelling patients. The successful applicant will have demonstrated significant clinical knowledge, skills and experience across a range of practice areas including Palliative Care. You will be expected to independently problem solve when working with complex cases including as part of the Multidisciplinary Team.
We are looking for someone who…
- Holds a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science and has current eligibility for full membership of the Exercise and Sports Science Australia Professional Association and current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 Licence acceptable).
- Possesses advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of clinical care across a wide range of practice areas within their discipline, including Palliative Care, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
- Can demonstrate the ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as per of a multidisciplinary team.

About working for SLHD
This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy .
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
