Due to growth within our Healthfind business, we are seeking a Exercise Physiologist to support our clients across our Warragul, Sale and Traralgon Offices.
A Exercise Physiologist's Day can involve:
- Analysing a patient’s medical history to assess any potential risks that exercise may pose.
- Performing fitness and stress tests on patients to determine their strengths, limitations, and the most appropriate starting point for a new program.
- Evaluate a person’s overall health, with special attention to cardiovascular function and metabolism.
- Develop individualized exercise prescriptions to increase physical fitness, strength, endurance, and flexibility.
- Design customized exercise programs to meet health care needs and athletic performance goals.
- Educate patients about their injuries and health conditions and provide information about how to stay healthy.
- Teach patients how to perform exercises safely and effectively.
- Assess clients for non-vocational issues including but not limited to risk of homelessness, financial issues, family breakdown, social issues, and other non-vocational barriers to employment.
- Create support plan in conjunction with job seekers and participants.
- Refer job seekers and participants to Providers and make arrangements including appointment times, dates and contacts. Follow up and remind clients and where appropriate attend with client to Healthfind appointments.
- Link clients with most appropriate community services in their local area and provide feedback to employment consultants.
- Research and network with community providers to maintain and add to the suite of Healthfind services available to Jobfind job seekers and participants.
- Attend meetings, steering committees and other functions as required to maintain networks with community partners.
- Regular liaison with job seeker and participant Employment Consultants on progress in overcoming barriers.
- Arrange, in conjunction with Site Managers, for community service partners to attend site meetings to discuss services directly with employment services employees.
- Provide information to assist in the process of ESAts.
- Participate in reviews of Memorandum of Understanding with Service Providers.
Key Selection Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Exercise Physiology, Sports Science, Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, or Chiropractor.
- Current registration such as for an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to be registered with ESSA.

To be considered you must...
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
- Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
- Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
