Job description: $128,755.00 per annum + superannuation 2 x Full Time Ongoing roles (part-time considered) Geelong Location (Hybrid working model) About the role At WorkSafe, we are adopting a more deliberate innovative, customer focus, supported by a Design Practice and new approaches and capabilities to deliver solutions to keep all Victorians healthy, safe and well. Experience Designers work closely with Senior Experience Designers and Design Leads as part of a multidisciplinary project team, to provide expertise in the planning, design, development, and deployment of experience design projects and enhancements to existing processes and applications. Key accountabilities will include: Provide expertise in the delivery of Experience Design deliverables including taking product or service concepts through to high-fidelity solutions that can be implemented. This includes design research activities, synthesis and insight generation, mapping of complex journeys and blueprints, wireframing, prototyping and user testing, designing and documenting interactions user flows, digital interfaces (UI) Ensuring that design outcomes are well understood and agreed by all stakeholders through the creation of artefacts that demonstrate the effectiveness and value of experience design. Collaborate across the Design Practice to support the delivery of high-quality design outcomes for WorkSafe using design methodologies with a strong focus on innovation and the client experience. Provide expertise in the planning, design, development, and deployment of Experience Design projects, and enhancements to existing processes and applications. Provide advice and solutions in relation to accessibility needs for projects, incorporating inclusivity and ethics into outcomes. Please take a look at the Position Description provided for additional information about the role. About you We are seeking a talented Experience Designer to join our design team. As an Experience Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and seamless user experiences across various digital and non-digital platforms. Your passion for design, attention to detail, and understanding of user behaviour will play a critical role in creating innovative and engaging design solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, project managers, developers, business analysts and subject matter experts to gather insights and define user requirements. You will then translate these requirements into interactive prototypes, wireframes, and user flows to effectively communicate your design solutions. You will also conduct user research and usability testing to validate and iterate on your designs, ensuring a user-centered approach. You will possess the following skills and experience: Embrace design methodologies to develop solutions improving WorkSafe client experience Contribute to the delivery of experience design initiatives leveraging design processes and tools. Proactively suggest ways to improve existing experience design tools & techniques Work closely with product / service owners to identify improvement opportunities by proactively capturing and analysing clients’ feedback Contribute to experience design internal initiatives to improve existing capabilities and develop new ones Ensure that valuable outcomes are created, captured, stored and shared to the wider organisation, in an engaging way that promotes the benefits of experience design Qualifications Tertiary Degree in either Design, Business, Human Sciences, Engineering or other relevant field.
