Experience Diamond Core Drillers - Surface Operation

An opportunity exists for those who want to take the next step towards their development. The company is seeking a senior Diamond Core driller for their surface drill operation.

The successful person will be managing a drill rig comprising of, weekly orders, client relations, cross-shifts, drilling performance, employee development and equipment maintenance schedules. 

An important criteria for this position is maintaining a strong communication link with management, supervisors and crews, to resolve and improve operational performance.

What you need to apply

• Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience on the levers as a surface Diamond Core driller.
• Current HR-B Licence.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Able to work in remote locations through W.A. 
• Pass a pre-employment medical.
• Pass a laboratory drug and alcohol test.
• Covid vaccinated.
• A current clean national police clearance (or ability to obtain a copy)
• A strong focus on health and safety in the workplace.
• Ability to train and develop employees.

General Position Description

• Working in regional and remote locations throughout Western Australia.
• Responsible for the management, performance, and production of the drill operation under their control.
• Utilising drilling techniques to Acquire core sample recovery.
• Responsible in overseeing drill operation perform Set-up and dismantle of drill rig and auxiliary equipment to perform drilling activities.
• Responsible for overseeing operational crews accomplishing mobilization and demobilization of drill rig and associated equipment to respective client sites, designated West Core facilities, lay-down areas and nominated storage areas.
• Overseeing operational crews perform duties and drilling activities in accordance with WCD Safety, Health, Environment and Quality System Manual to maintain a safe work environment for themselves and other persons.
• Delivering training to operational crews under your responsibilities to support operational needs. 
• Responsible for operational crews to maintain company vehicles, drilling equipment and associated tools are safe for operational use.
• Operating company vehicles, drilling equipment and associated tools.
