Type of contract: Permanent
To support our SLB (formerly known as Schlumberger) Reservoir Performance operations in Australasia, we are currently looking for an Experienced Diesel Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
This is a FIFO work to Moomba base and flight covered from Adelaide airport only.
The role is to:
Ensure on-time delivery of equipment (Including Heavy and support vehicles) as per operational demands.
Improve the equipment reliability of the Segment’s assets within the location.
Ensure all assigned equipment is continually maintained at the highest standards, resulting in proper functionality and minimum failures
Improve asset availability by reducing waiting for maintenance and or parts
Participate in failure investigations
Execute Maintenance Strategy and Standard Work adherence
Responsible to support Continuous Improvement culture
Utilize maintenance business systems for equipment traceability and recording
Reduce Cost of Service Delivery at the location
Follow fixed-step training program and ensure personnel training is on schedule and accurately recorded
Requirements:
Must have full right to live and work in Australia including offshore.
No travel restrictions
Have a Mechanic Trade and Diploma Certification
Must have minimum 3 years’ experience handling heavy and light vehicles
Preferable to have experience with NHVAS (National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme)
Preferable to have Well versed in diesel engines, transmissions, heavy trucks (example Kenworth, Western star)
Hands of experience with hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and automotive low voltage (DC Voltage)
Highly self-motivated
Competent computer skills
Can work in a high-pressure environment, learn quickly and adapts to new problems and situations
Must be a team player, able to get along with individuals from other groups in the organization, and a good communicator
Good English written and verbal communication skills essential
Good interpersonal skills
Available to start as soon as possible
