The role
We are currently seeking a talented Bridges & Structures Engineers to work closely with our other specialists in our Perth office. Your primary focus will be to provide technical design input, co-ordination and project delivery activities across transport infrastructure projects (road & rail) in collaboration with the wider national business. This is an opportunity to help us to deliver some of ANZ’s most significant infrastructure projects and support SMEC’s impressive growth targets.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
In addition, suitable applicants will have/be:
- Tertiary qualifications / Engineering degree, leading to membership of IE Australia or equivalent
- A Certified Professional Engineer or on their way to attaining CPEng status
- Industry experience in detailed design across transport structures
- Structural design experience in highway/rail bridges, retaining walls and other transport structures
- Proven project management skills across various type of projects;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment.
- MRWA Level 2 Inspection Accreditation would be a bonus
- Proficient with current structural modelling software (SpaceGASS, Structural Bridge Design, MiDAS etc) and knowledge of drafting software (AuptoCAD, Revit etc).
