Their diverse farming practices encompass esteemed Poll Merino and White Suffolk Studs and a sizeable commercial prime lamb sector managing approximately 4000 heads. Furthermore, their broadacre cropping regime cultivates winter cereals, canola, and pulses.
Boasting modern infrastructure, our clients' recently built four-stand shearing shed is augmented by modern Clip Ex yards, optimising operational efficiency. The property’s fencing is notably reliable, reinforced by a well-organised laneway system for easy livestock management. Moreover, bores and solar energy systems sustainably meet all water necessities.
The Role:
The family-owned enterprise focuses on breeding a successful Poll Merino and White Suffolk Stud that annually produces 300 sale rams and also engages in opportunistic trade stock finishing. We are seeking an Experienced Livestock Hand to work with the manager in carrying out all necessary day-to-day animal husbandry tasks and executing the annual plan. The stud is currently home to ewes selected for their high growth, ease of lambing, high survival rates, and suitability for commercial operations.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in genetics and stud stock management. This role offers the opportunity for candidates to fully engage in animal husbandry duties, covering responsibilities for both Stud and Commercial ventures. Mustering will be conducted using utility vehicles and working dogs.

Active participation in operational decision-making processes is encouraged to enhance the successful candidate’s contribution and experience within the enterprise.
- Working dogs will be advantageous but not necessary.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in animal husbandry.
- Keen interest in genetics and stud stock management.
- HR/HC truck license is viewed favorably, although not a prerequisite.
- Good organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and great time management capabilities.
