Experienced Support worker.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have demonstrated experience in providing support to participants with disabilities.
Candidate Requirements:

• Certificate III in disability or equivalent. 
• Experience within the industry of disability support is desirable.
• Clear and effective communication skills and the ability to establish a professional relationship with participant and their families.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in the record management.
• Australian driver’s license & own car with fully comprehensive insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening and NDIS Orientation Modules necessary
• First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training or willing to obtain one.
• Flexibility to work over a 7-day roster and the availability to work overnight shifts or attend training or meetings as required.
• Demonstrated commitment to human rights-based, person-centered support practices.
• Demonstrated experience with positive behavior support practices.

  This role will suit a candidate with the following skills and experience:

•  An ability and commitment to work as part of a team to support people within a residential environment.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in working effectively with intellectual disability mental health concerns, and other complex problems associated with clients complexities.
• A demonstrated ability to work autonomously, including applying conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a high level of mediation, negotiation, interpersonal and liaison skills.
• Capacity to fulfill reporting and administrative requirements associated with the position.
• Undertake all necessary NDIS checks including, Working with Children, and NDIS Worker Screening.
