The Role
As an Exploration Geologist, you will play a pivotal role in supervising and coordinating our exploration activities and supporting senior team members. This includes supervising drilling operations, developing geological targets, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Applicants should reside in NSW as this is a drive in drive out site with travel allowances paid per swing. The company maintains a camp at each mine site. Rosters typically 12/9 and subject to change depending on work flow. These roles report to the Chief Geologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, supervision, sampling, logging and other activities associated with ongoing RAB, aircore, RC and diamond drill programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental best practices.
- Engage in geological mapping, data processing, and quality control.
- Analyses by pXRF of various materials, and data interpretation.
- Managing bulk sampling of rock and tailings dumps.
- Managing and executing borehole site rehabilitation programs.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Geoscience.
- Manual Driver's License and a willingness to work in diverse environments.
- Experience in base metal and gold exploration.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
- Familiarity with NSW Mining Acts and regulations not essential but well regarded
- The right to work in Australia
