ABOUT THE ROLE
Graduates:
We would love to hear from energetic graduates who are passionate about rocks and are looking to learn and gain experience in field exploration. These are a DIDO full-time field roles based in regional areas of NSW, e.g. Upper Hunter Valley. You will work in a supportive and collaborative field team, gain hands on experience in geological exploration activities with ongoing coaching from our talented senior geologists and leadership group. Experienced Geologists:
We are looking for motivated geologists with experience in coal exploration to join our teams working at client sites in regional NSW. These are DIDO full-time field based roles based in regional NSW reporting to our General Manager, Projects. You will perform a wide variety of geological activities including drill rig supervision, core and chip logging, technical data collection and interpretation, data management, sampling, team supervision and coaching.
Our field rosters are determined by client requirements and project location: e.g., NSW rosters are most commonly 5 days on 2 days off. Access to a field vehicle, laptop and accommodation for rostered workdays is provided by MBGS. The successful applicants must reside in NSW as all positions are DIDO within regional NSW.
ABOUT YOU
Graduates – these are the skills we’d love you to have:

- Bachelor of Science (Geology/Earth Science) or equivalent.
- A keen eye for detail.
- A natural aptitude for problem-solving.
- Hands on and structured work approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a well-established team.
- Full Australian ‘C’ class driver’s license essential (ability to drive a manual vehicle highly regarded).
- Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Experienced Coal Geologists - to be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor of Science (Geology/Earth Science) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in coal exploration.
- Supervision of drilling contractors and programs highly regarded.
- Experience coaching and supporting field geologists.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
- Autonomous by nature with the ability to work within a well-established team.
- Experience in geological data software, e.g., Geobank, Task Manager.
- Full Australian ‘C’ class driver’s license essential (ability to drive a manual vehicle highly regarded).
- Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
- 4WD experienced or Certification (desirable).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
