An Australian-based minerals exploration company with varied projects across Western Australia covering base and energy metals. The team are a future focused company in terms of sustainability and pride themselves in using new technology to ensure efficiencies across all areas of the portfolio of projects. They are now recruiting an Exploration Manager to join this small team who offer a wealth of experience in exploration, asset development and mine operations.

Your new role

This Exploration Manager role is a newly created appointment and is offered on a permanent basis. This is a Perth-based role with travel to the projects as required during the drilling campaign. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and will have full responsibility for the portfolio of projects that will include:

• Responsibility for the drilling campaign including the planning, execution and data analysis.
• Responsibility for the logistics and operational management of the projects.
• People management as the projects progress to asset development and/or to mine operations.
• Contribute to the ASX reporting.
• Collaborate and liaise with internal stakeholders and external shareholders.

What you'll need to succeed

As the Exploration Manager, you will have field management experience and will be able to work autonomously so that you can deliver a successful drilling campaign with accurate data. The successful candidate will have the following specific experience and qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Geology
• Remote exploration experience including all aspects of field management
• Flexibility and enthusiasm to be hands-on during the drilling season
• Ability to work autonomously with drive and confidence
• Good IT skills and embrace new technology
• Good report writing skills
