Your new company
A dedicated, ASX-listed junior uranium explorer with a series of early-stage advanced uranium projects located in the Northern Territory of Australia and a head office located in Perth. With the recent upturn in the uranium market, the company is currently seeking an Exploration Manager to lead and build its exploration team. The company operates a remote-area exploration camp from which drilling operations are conducted on a campaign or rostered-on basis.
Your new role
The Exploration Manager will play a key leadership role in the company's efforts to expand its uranium resources and advance its flagship project through ongoing feasibility studies. The company is well funded and has approved a substantial exploration budget in 2024 and is committed to uranium exploration and development activities in coming years. The Exploration Manager role will be responsible for:
- Recommend, plan and execute exploration programs to optimise the uranium exploration success through existing and new opportunities.
- Lead the geological and field team, manage contractors and supervise field operations
- Liaise with the tenement managers to maintain the company's tenement portfolio in good standing, including management of statutory reporting obligations, land access and native title agreements, and environmental compliance.
- Compile exploration and technical reports, assist with compilation of ASX reports, and act as the Company's Competent Person for exploration reporting purposes.
- Liaise, consult and build relationships with Government Departments, landholders, traditional owners and other stakeholders.
- Plan and supervise feasibility studies and engage contractors to undertake studies as required.
What you'll need to succeed
As the Exploration Manager you will be experienced in a senior mineral exploration role and ideally with uranium exploration. You will be experienced in report writing, preparation of work plan approvals and operating an exploration campaign.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in geoscience
- Experience in using mining and exploration software, with competence in use of Micromine, Leapfrog, IoGAS, and GIS software
- JORC - code reporting
- Professional society membership for Competent Person reporting
- Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) qualifications and operating knowledge of radiation safety and detection equipment and procedures are highly regarded.
- Knowledge of down-hole gamma logging procedures is highly regarded.
