About the Role
Reporting to the Drill and Blast Superintendent, the Supervisor - Explosives will be responsible for the coordination of drill and blast activities at Tarrawonga Mine.
What You’ll Do
- Liaise with Drill & Blast Superintendent to organise pre-blasting clean up and preparations and ensure patterns are prepared to the required standard.
- Oversee drilling, loading and firing of shots.
- Maintain Drill and Blast component of schedule and communicate sequence and requirements to Operations and Tech Services.
- Liaise with explosive and drilling suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels
- Develop and maintain plans, designs and blast packs for all shots
What You’ll Bring
- OCE ticket or Shot Firer’s certificate (desirable)
- Experienced in the provision of drilling and blasting activities within an Open Cut mining environment
- Knowledge of the risk management, safe work practices and statutory requirements required to create and maintain a safe work environment
- Demonstrated safe and productive management of mine plant and facilities
