About the Role:
Our Client is a government organisation working on critical scientific research projects throughout Australia.
Seeking a creative and enthusiastic Extension and Communication Support Officerfor a 3-month role based in South Brisbane on a full time basis.
The role:
- Review, edit and develop a thorough understanding of the teams products and services available.
- As a team member, provide input into the development of improved or new extension products and documentation.
- Undertake all workplace induction and mandatory training courses and perform duties to Queensland Government workplace health and safety standards.
- Prototype YouTube videos for a regional ground cover comparison report.
Selection Criteria:
Please provide an application that clearly outlines your experience (provide examples) and suitability to the selection criteria outlined below:
- A tertiary qualification in Communication, Agricultural, Biological, Environmental or Climate Science or equivalent;
- Experience in communicating scientific products to a wide range of clients via email, multimedia, web documentation, webinars, and verbal presentations
- High-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated skills in developing a range of scientific/technical communications i.e., scientific papers;
- Skills to develop and produce new Extension and Communication material (e.g., YouTube videos).
- Ability to edit and review existing communication material.
- Availability to travel throughout Queensland for field days, workshops, etc.
- Be a reliable team player with the ability to work under limited direction to achieve goals;
