Blue Haven Retirement Villages
Kiama Council owns and operates Blue Haven Retirement Villages in Kiama. The following contract opportunity exists for an active and energetic person to provide Retirement Village management, operations and sales assistance at Blue Haven Terralong.
The opportunity is also open to external Retirement Village management organisations under an outsourced management arrangement.
It is intended that the contract would commence as soon as possible.
The obligations under the contract are to be responsible for:
To ensure the efficient and effective management and operation of Blue Haven Independent Living Units within Terralong.
- Responsibility for ensuring ongoing compliance with the Retirement Villages Act in all areas of operation of the Villages.
- Responsible for managing and providing day-to-day operations, including overseeing asset management, unit refurbishment, maintenance, working with Council’s Infrastructure Team and/or external trades & suppliers
- Responsible for resident liaison, meetings, activities and site co-ordination
- Maintaining and ensuring the cleanliness of all on-site community rooms and common areas including bathrooms, pathways and landscaping.
- Ensuring a safe environment for residents, staff, contractors and visitors
What criteria you'll need to be successful in the role:
- Qualification - Business Degree / Certificate IV Property Services
- Experience in Property or Facilities Management – preferably Retirement Village
- Experience in either Sales, Marketing, Project Management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Knowledge of NSW Retirement Villages Act 1999 NSW Retirement Villages Regulation 2017
Some short term assistance to Council’s Bonaira Retirement Village will also be required up to September 2024.
Total contract remuneration: The annual 12-month contract would be negotiable
