We have an exciting opportunity for an External Sales Representative to join our team in our Welshpool Office. This role will focus on managing existing accounts and achieving growth in securing new businesses in Western Australia. Reporting to the General Manager, the role will draw on your sales skills and experience in building relationships with customers, converting new prospects, and delivering outstanding sales results. 

The key responsibilities of the role will include: 

  • Calling on existing customers and strengthening relationships with them.
  • Building and pursuing new business and developing new markets within the region.
  • Liaising closely with our internal estimators, engineers and production divisions to ensure excellence in customer service.
  • To ensure outstanding customer service levels and expectations are met at all times. 
  • Providing and updating sales forecasts.
  • Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders to build profitable new business and increase sales performance.
  • The role will also require some local and regional travel.

To be successful in this role you must have a ‘can do’ attitude, coupled with the drive and determination to succeed, plus be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven track record of sales success and business development within a broad range of markets.
  • Sales and Account management experience.
  • Outstanding relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with previous experience in sales, coupled with a strong technical background in steel and steel processing. You must have excellent communication skills and be driven by results. Being a great relationship builder and a team player will ensure your success in this role.
