Fabrication Workshop Manager
Location: Maclean/Townsend, NSW
True Water, a leading player in wastewater infrastructure, seeks an energetic and experienced Workshop Manager to join our growing Works team.
In this role, you will monitor the fabrication and manufacture of wastewater components, manage production scheduling and undertake quality management processes.

The role
Working closely with the Operations Manager and project delivery teams, the Workshop Manager will implement manufacturing schedule and coordinate day-to-day activities workshop activities to achieve project objectives.
Key responsibilities include effective inventory management, resource and works scheduling and administration/quality management processes.

- Proactive in driving vision and performance across all levels of the organisation and comfortable managing budget targets,
- Ensure all operational employees in the workshop are competent and motivated to perform their roles efficiently and effectively,
- Identify and recommend improvements to current operations and process to improve production efficiency, quality, and output,
- Direct the efficient planning and assignment of work to maximise the use of personnel, plant and equipment to ensure orders are built to specification and delivered on time and within cost,
- Develop and motivate staff to ensure they achieve maximum performance through providing feedback that is accurate, objective, and helpful.
- Work collectively with the True Water teams to ensure the manufacturing operations can support efforts required to improve business opportunities.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a manufacturing and fabrication environment.
In addition to possessing a solid understanding of manufacturing metrics and efficient processes, the successful candidate will showcase the ability to prioritise, direct, and oversee work activities, schedules, and processes.
This includes ensuring a timely delivery of high-quality products while adhering to site health, safety, and production objectives.
