An exciting opportunity has become available for a trade qualified metal Fabricator / Welder. The role will see you apart of a small team at our headquarters in Wangara, where we manufacture our very own Western Australian developed pontoon systems. You will be reporting directly to the company director, or otherwise manager when the director is unavailable. This role is offered on a 3-month probation period (on casual) at the standard 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, with the potential to progress to a full-time position subject to a performance review.
About us:
Ciltech is a growing business supplying a range of marine related products. Our primary product specialty is our own in-house locally developed and manufactured pontoon system in Western Australia. This system is used in both residential and commercial applications.
Our secondary product specialty is the import and export of various high-quality products such as steel pipe (or steel piles), HDPE pipe sleeves, FRP grating, navigational aids and other products & services domestically and internationally. We do however pride ourselves on our own locally developed & manufactured products.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Fabrication & welding of pontoon structures/frames (primarily aluminium welding)
- Assist with floating & tiling of pontoon assemblies
- Splicing of steel pipe/piles
- Other steel fabrication
Requirements for the role:
- Australian recognized trade certificate, such as a certificate 3 in engineering.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in welding & fabrication.
- Capable welder with MIG & TIG experience, including welding of pipes, steel and aluminium materials
- Must have completed & attained the knowledge or qualifications specific to the welding of pipes to AS1796.
- Valid Australian driver’s license.
- Valid forklift ticket
- (Preference, but not essential) valid telehandler ticket
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to read and analyse fabrication drawings and WPS.
- Ability to work alone.
