NEPEAN Conveyors (a division of NEPEAN™) provides fully engineered turnkey conveying and materials handling solutions, from concept to commissioning for some of the world's largest mining companies. Established in 1985, it manufactures and markets conveyor components including pulleys, idlers, rapid advance-rapid retreat components and drive-heads, and provides on-site installation, maintenance, and relocation of conveyor installations.
Our Opportunity
Due to exponential growth, NEPEAN Conveyors have opportunities for several Boilermakers / Leading Hands to join the team. These positions are full-time permanent opportunities, based in Mackay.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Fabricating and repairing structural steel assemblies (conveyor equipment, gantries, QDS equipment, chutes) from detailed fabrication drawings to within tolerances
- MIG Welding (bare and flux)
- Operate mag-based drill, punching shear, plasma cutting, flame-cutting, air carbon arc gouging, tube bender and forklifts if applicable
- Identify improvements and complete a Non-Conformance Report (NCQ-FM-08) if/when required.
- Ensuring that your work area is of a high standard and free of hazards.
- Provide training to apprentices by demonstrating correct work procedures.

- Trade qualified
- High attention to detail
- Rights to work in Australia
- Organizational and time management skills
- Structural Steel Fabrication Experience (essential)
- Overhead Crane Experience
