About The Role
Aligned to our advocacy work concerning Road Safety we consult to organisations to provide best practice driver training programs to drivers from a variety of industries.
Our training programs are designed around low risk driver training techniques and industry best practice to assist drivers with Road Safety awareness and to support employers with their WHS Road Safety requirements.
Our teaching philosophy aims to encourage drivers to be safer drivers on the road whether they drive for work, pleasure or convenience.
As a Driver Safety Facilitator/Driver Trainer you are responsible for the effective delivery of variety of Road Safety programs to our clients on behalf of NRMA.
You will be required to present 3hr Road Safety workshops along with a number of on road practical programs to a range of licence holders.
You will be provided with training to deliver the specific NRMA Road Safety content and be responsible for keeping up to date with relevant legislation.
This role reports to directly to the NRMA Corporate Driver Training Manager.
About you
We are searching for a passionate and highly competent Driver Safety Facilitator/Driver Trainer to deliver low risk driver training workshops and on road driver training for NRMA’s diverse client base.
As qualified Driver Safety Facilitator/Driver Trainer you will bring to The NRMA a unique mix of experience (over 5 years) and an understanding of social/cultural diversity of audience. With this you will demonstrate a passion and dedication in Road Safety and this is conveyed with our clients. The ability to do remote training and connect via zoom as required would be a bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement delivery of NRMA Road Safety and awareness programs within organisations across NSW and the ACT;
- Maximise the learning experience by delivering a highly engaging and professionally facilitated workshop and on road training;
- Strengthen the NRMA brand with key stakeholders by providing a high standard of front-line customer service to learners and the industries they are from;
- Deliver high quality experience for a diverse range of industries and Driver needs;
- Accurately educate drivers on relevant laws and legislation concerning the topic matter;

Understand this is not a full time role. This role is an "on needs" basis that is dependent on client bookings
Credentials required:
- Applicants must be industry qualified and experienced Driver Safety Facilitator/Driver Trainer who hold current credentials
- Ideally you hold Certificate IV in Transport and Logistic
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in driver training and facilitation
- Ideally you hold RMS Assessors credentials or equivalent
