The Opportunity
The Leisure Centres team fits within the Recreation, Facility Activation Business Unit with this position reporting to the Coordinator Leisure Centres.
This position requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic person that enjoys dealing directly with the community and displays a high level of communication and customer service skills.
Support the activation opportunities that encourage active participation that will contribute to the success of Council’s Corporate Plan, Health & Wellness Strategy by providing opportunities for healthier lifestyles choices. This role will build strong relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders. This includes members of the general community, indoor sporting groups and tenants, education sector, contractors, Council’s internal Business Units and Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate information with general customer enquiries and provide information on how to access services and programs conducted at the stadiums.
- Provide support with the day-to-day operations of the stadiums which includes but is not limited to front reception desk, kiosk and bookings as required.
- Provide administrative support including, collecting and mailing of correspondence, maintaining data bases and cashiering functions.
- Act as an interface with a range of community and Council users of the stadiums.
- Assist with the allocations and Licence Agreement processes.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- A post-secondary qualification with on-the-job training or lesser qualification with experience in the provision of high-level customer service
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality customer service and good communication skills are
- Effective and exceptional communication skills with a wide variety of people to gain their co-operation is essential.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
