About Role
This role will support the Facilities team across all state-based issues and activities, helpdesk requests, building and maintenance projects. Specific activities include coordination of preventative maintenance programs and contract management across property leases and service contracts.
This role is being offered on a full-time ongoing basis located at our Head Office based at Melrose Park and would also include working across other Workskil sites. You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9-day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week.
About You
To be successful in the role you will be able to:
- Have experience in coordinating maintenance and repair works, building works and site configuration changes and other construction related projects.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of site security requirements, responding to security issues, including monitoring security systems and duress alarms.
- Have hands on experience in management of site lease agreements, maintenance of site records, setup, renewal, relocation and winding-up of sites.
- Show understanding in conducting inspections and audits against contract specifications through previous experience. Facilitating contract performance reviews to assess contract performance, audits, variations, dispute resolution, effectiveness and opportunities.
- Demonstrate a good understanding and experience in contract management processes and recording documentation in the applicable systems.
- Sound ability of procurement activity, development of contract terms, specifications and KPI’s for future evaluation and contract tendering.
- Have good knowledge and experience on contractor administration regarding insurance documentation, accreditations/certifications, and other relevant statutory requirements.
- Ability to coordinate payment of suppliers as per the expectations of Workskil Australia’s Procurement Policy and Corporate Purchasing Procedure.
You will also be required to:
- Have a formal qualification in facilities management, contract management, asset management or related discipline or significant experience in a similar role; and
- Have Knowledge of building standards – Building Code of Australia (BCA) & National Construction Code (NCC) and understanding ESM (Essential Safety Measure).

Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging. With the Wellbeing Day benefit, you will still receive the remuneration of a full-time employee in addition to the ability to salary package.
